(you must have the HM whirlpool to get this, and you must have the silver feather) in Asagi you will surf down, but do not go to TANBA. you will see 4 islands which is the whirlpool islands. first you will see two islands. the first island is on the upper part and the second island is in the lower part. you will go to the lower part the island and go deep into the cave and you will find lugia(he is at level 70).

As you are in front of it save your game.then deposit the pokemon you want to clone.then change the box as soon as it says SAVING DON'T TURN OFF THE POWER,turn it off then turn it back on and the pokemon you deposited should be in your party then go to the Pc and the pokemon should be there too. If it doesn't work you did it wrong.

Everybody pay attention cause I'm only gonna say this once... For those of you with the Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, the same thing happened to a couple of my games. Fortunately, I live next door to a 17-year-old pokemaniac, and this is the answer he gave me: Gold, Silver, and Crystals have "internal save batteries" inside of them that power your games ability to save. Unfortunately, after a certain amount of time (it took mine about 4-5 years), this internal battery will expire-like all other batteries do-corrupting your current save file (in otherwords destroyed it), and making it basically impossible to save your game, leaving it a useless piece of game hardware. This battery can be replaced (also like all other batteries), making your game usable again. I am assuming this battery is hard to find, so look around at eletronics stores and the internet. If you do have this battery replaced, make sure it is done by somebody with fairly good welding skills.
(note:Gold, Silver, and Crystal are the only games with these internal save batteries, so don't worry about this happening to any of your other games)

go to goldenrod city and enter the radio tower. talk to the security guy on the secondfloor he will say something like 'you can go were ever you want now that hes nice again'. then exit the building and fly to newbark town. talk to your mom and then to elm. then save the game. turn off you gameboy as normal then start a newgame. as soon as your in control save your game and get your pokemon. any will do because they will disapear once done. then deliver the mystery egg and your single pokemon will have turned into both golden lugia and ho-oh!
