When your in a back level a.k.a. Bases, the second player can push and hold up (whether playing or not, alive or dead) then have the first person duck and shoot, he will shoot upwards!

At the title screen press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, then choose one or two player through the SELECT key. Press START and you will start with 30 lives instead of 3.
